Celebrating 80 Years of Tradition at the Crest 4th of July Parade 

When we first started Zera Coffee Co. back in May, I remember telling my husband, "You know I'm going to want to be ready by the Crest 4th of July Celebration, right?"

At the time, it felt ambitious. We still had so much to finish. There were permits to get, equipment to figure out, inspections, paperwork... and what felt like a never ending list of things standing between us and actually opening.

But that deadline was always in the back of my mind.

The Crest 4th of July Celebration isn't just another event. This year marked its 80th parade, and for a small mountain community, that's pretty amazing. It's one of those traditions that people grow up with. Generations of families come back year after year, setting up chairs before sunrise, catching up with neighbors, and celebrating together.

Somehow... we actually made it... everything finally started feeling real... We were open.

The morning flew by. We met so many kind people, made so many lattes and matchas than I could not count. We had customers come back later with their friends and family because they wanted them to try our coffee, too. As a brand new business, that meant everything to us.

Setting a deadline of July 4th gave us something to work toward and we did it!

To everyone who stopped by our trailer, thank you. Every order, every conversation, every compliment, every smile... we noticed it all, and we're incredibly grateful.

And to everyone who puts in the countless hours to make the Crest 4th of July Celebration happen every year, thank you for welcoming a brand new coffee trailer into an 80-year tradition.
